June signals the start of spring in the Arctic, when the wildlife begin to wake from the wintery slumber. It’s a great time to see Narwhals move, as well as one of nature’s less-known but still spectacular migrations – Canada’s Caribou – as they move north.
The days are longer and the weather begins to warm in June, perfect for capturing shots of birds and a variety of Arctic wildlife, from snowy owls to arctic foxes. Humpback whales and narwhals are most active in June, and there is still plenty of untouched ice to take your breath away.
