Summer is well and truly over by October in the Arctic. The ice has reformed into glacial peaks, the days are becoming shorter and temperatures are plummeting.
The cooler temperatures might be off-putting for some, but this is a fantastic time to see polar bears and other wildlife before they hibernate for the Arctic winter. There are far fewer boats in the water too, so you’ll feel as though you have this icy wonderland to yourself.
