September marks the end of summer in the Arctic. The cooler weather makes its return, as does nightfall. This is a great chance to experience the aurora borealis.
Autumn arrives in the Arctic in September, but there is still plenty to see. Sea ice will reform in the ocean, and there are plenty of birds active, desperate to find a mate before winter sets in.
